Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 has teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to commemorate the inaugural National Family Fitness Day on May 12. This exciting event aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles for children and families, emphasizing the amalgamation of technology and physical fitness.

The central fitness activity of the day will revolve around playing “DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE 2” on Xbox 360, providing an interactive and enjoyable way for families to exercise together. To kickstart the event and encourage family participation, supermodel and health enthusiast Christie Brinkley, alongside health expert and physician Dr. Carlon Colker, will initiate the activities at the Children’s Aid Society’s Dunlevy Milbank Center Boys & Girls Club in New York.

On National Family Fitness Day, select Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation will engage in the after-school event by playing “DanceDanceRevolution UNIVERSE 2” on Xbox 360. This activity, combined with healthy tips offered by Dr. Colker, will exemplify how families can come together, enjoy quality time, and exercise in a fun and interactive manner. Additionally, a fun and collaborative competition among participating Boys & Girls Clubs will strive to achieve the collective goal of 500 participants and burning a remarkable 18,000 calories while engaging with “DanceDanceRevolution” on Xbox 360. Boys & Girls Clubs in major cities such as Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and Seattle will all join this movement.
