AlterG® allows the treating clinician the ability to unweight a patient as little as 20% to as much as 100% of their bodyweight. This advanced technology allows for low-impact movement that can significantly reduce or eliminate pain during movement. AlterG® allows for natural walking strides, but in an unloaded state. As a result, AlterG® can be used after hip and/or lower limb surgery as a transition to more quickly restore normalized full weight bearing, in medical situations when trying to restore normal gait, and even in healthy athletes as a tool to assess stride and analyze gait during a variety of test loads.
